The etymology is a little hazy after over three decades but the legend spun by our founder involves a quantity of beer and a loud party. He was asked the name of the yet to be built restaurant and responded: “Say what?”

Do you have a gluten-free menu?

Although we do not have a separate gluten-free menu, many of our items are gluten free or can be easily altered to make them gluten-free. To make meal choices easier, we have a “food bible” that lists all menu item ingredients. This is available to help guests that may have dietary restrictions.

Any special arrangements for birthdays?

While there are a few musicians on staff we hire them for skills other than singing, so don’t expect a serenade for the special day, that’s your job. If you want to bring a cake, that’s fine, but we will charge you a $25 service fee for plates, cutlery, napkins, etc.

How do I get my art displayed?

As long as you are okay with people eating and drinking next to your masterpiece email us to get things started.

Do you have parking?

Yes. There is plenty of parking, just not in our building. There are many parking garages in the neighbourhood. Click here for a map.

How can I get notified of specials and events?

You can have our E-News delivered to your inbox monthly by subscribing – a sign up form can be found towards the bottom of our home page. If you want more timely information you can befriend us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter and Instagram.

Do you accept Bitcoin?

No. While we have left the 90s behind by ditching our Fax machine, we are only willing to offer virtual meals for virtual currency. For real food and drink you can go old-school and pay with cash or be a little more modern and tender your debit or credit card. For your convenience we have a no-fee ATM on site.
